About The Position
The Behavioral Health Clinician for Youth Services provides individual, group and family therapy to clients and their families in various treatment settings. The role is full-time, 40 hr/week, which may include evening hours; includes CommuniCare+OLE clinic sites and outreach locations throughout Yolo County (Woodland, West Sacramento, and Davis), to include home visits, work in schools, and juvenile detention facility. Requirements
- ASW/AMFT/APCC required.
- A minimum of two years of experience working in behavioral health field, with adolescents required.
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
- Must provide proof of current driver’s license and auto insurance.
- BLS Certification Required.
Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive intake assessments and client planning sessions for youth clients and their families.
- Provides individual, group and family therapy in clinic locations and clients’ homes, as well as in the community throughout Yolo County.
- Completes all client information and documentation in a timely manner according to legal, ethical, funding and agency guidelines.
- Works with clients to establish long- and short-term goals. Counselor is responsible for detecting emotional, psychological, and physical danger signals. Counselor is non-judgmental and offers feedback and support to clients.
- Provides case management, including linkage and referral, crisis intervention, rehabilitation, safety planning and collateral services for youth.
- Provides information to clients including treatment alternatives and referral service.
- Responsible for remaining within the ethical standards established in the field, including those of confidentiality.
- Responsible for explaining and enforcing all rules and regulations associated with clinic treatment policy.
- Compile and report data as required.
- Collaborate with Probation, Juvenile Detention Facility staff, CWS and other agencies to case manage clients as directed by supervisor.
- Attend clinical supervision and weekly staff meetings, as necessary.
- Attend training/conferences as arranged.
- Responsible for maintaining the standards as listed in the CommuniCare+OLE Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual, and any other standards which may apply to this position.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
