This position is responsible for working 24 hours weekly, 8 hours on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The Behavioral Health Clinician will utilize resources to meet patient care needs by collaborating with appropriate guardians and community agencies. They will assess patients' problems, needs, and level of functioning, and write appropriate treatment plans according to patient diagnosis, age, and clinical presentation. The role involves providing various treatment modalities and theoretical applications based on current clinical standards, assisting individuals, groups, and families through the therapeutic relationship, and evaluating and treating mental disorders. The clinician will establish and conduct appropriate interventions/treatment, write appropriate discharge plans, and provide patient care according to established policies/procedures and professional standards of care. Additionally, they will design, plan, and implement effective patient education, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care according to identified needs, manage clients in crisis, and provide accurate and consistent documentation of patient care/response in the medical record. The role also includes presenting cases in clinical team members meetings and completing all assessments within facility-established timeframes, as well as coordinating discharge planning and care for the next provider.
