About The Position

The Licensed Optical Supervisor/Assistant Manager is a leader who supports the business at Visionworks, models the Visionworks way, and supervises the store in the General Manager’s absence. The role supports the General Manager in achieving store financial goals through floor leadership, accountability, and coaching and developing associates to deliver a simple, human, and bold patient and customer journey. The position promotes store profitability and sales goal achievement by holding the team accountable for daily, weekly, and monthly targets. It involves participating in and overseeing the patient/customer journey, supporting appointment and service coordination, resolving obstacles in the customer experience, and carrying out store operations to meet financial and customer experience goals.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
1–5 years of supervisory experience.
Have or maintain a State Opticians License.

Responsibilities

Promote store profitability and achievement of sales goals by holding self and team accountable for daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
Role model and participate in all steps of the patient/customer journey, and supervise and redirect associates in the exam lane and sales floor.
Support the General Manager in managing incoming traffic by coordinating and confirming doctor appointments and scheduled eyewear services, and ensuring patient/customer needs are met.
Coach, motivate, and support associates in their roles to deliver a strong patient/customer experience.
Use sound judgment to remove obstacles and resolve patient/customer experience issues in partnership with the General Manager.
Execute broad operational activities to meet the store’s financial and customer experience goals.
Supervise the store in the General Manager’s absence.
