About The Position

A Visionworks Licensed Optical Supervisor/Assistant Manager leads by example and supports the business. The role models the Visionworks approach and supervises the store when the General Manager is absent. The position supports the General Manager in achieving store financial goals through floor leadership, accountability, and coaching and developing associates to provide a simple, human, and bold patient and customer journey.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 1–5 years of supervisory experience.
• Must have or maintain a State Opticians License.

Responsibilities

• Promote store profitability and achievement of sales goals by holding oneself and the team accountable for daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
• Model and participate in all steps of the patient/customer journey, and supervise and redirect associates in the exam lane and on the sales floor.
• Support the General Manager in managing incoming traffic by coordinating and confirming doctor appointments and scheduled eyewear services, and ensuring patient and customer needs are met.
• Coach, motivate, and support associates in performing their roles with excellence to provide a seamless patient/customer experience.
• Use sound judgment to remove obstacles and resolve patient/customer experience issues in partnership with the General Manager.
• Execute broad operational activities to meet the store’s financial and customer experience goals.
• Supervise the store in the General Manager’s absence.
