About The Position

A Visionworks Licensed Optical Supervisor/Assistant Manager is a leader who supports the business and models the Visionworks way. This person supervises the store in the General Manager’s absence and supports the General Manager in achieving store financial goals through floor leadership, accountability, and coaching and developing associates. The role helps deliver a simple, human, and bold patient and customer journey while supporting store profitability, sales goals, operational activities, and customer experience goals.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
1–5 years of supervisory experience.
Must have or maintain a State Opticians License.

Responsibilities

Promote store profitability and sales goal achievement by holding oneself and the team accountable for daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
Model and participate in every step of the patient/customer journey, and supervise and redirect associates in the exam lane and on the sales floor.
Support the General Manager in managing incoming traffic by coordinating and confirming doctor appointments and scheduled eyewear services, and ensuring patient and customer needs are met.
Coach, motivate, and support associates in performing their roles to deliver a strong patient/customer experience.
Use sound judgment to remove obstacles and resolve issues in the patient/customer experience in partnership with the General Manager.
Execute broad operational activities to meet the store’s financial and customer experience goals.
Supervise the store in the General Manager’s absence.
