About The Position

A Visionworks Licensed Optical Supervisor/Assistant Manager leads by example and supports the business. The role models the Visionworks way and supervises the store when the General Manager is absent. The position also supports the General Manager in achieving store financial goals through floor leadership, accountability, and coaching and developing associates to deliver a simple, human, and bold patient and customer journey. The position promotes store profitability and sales goals by holding the team accountable for daily, weekly, and monthly targets. It participates in the patient and customer journey, supervises and redirects associates on the sales floor and in the exam lane, helps coordinate appointments and eyewear services, and supports resolution of patient and customer concerns. The role executes broad operational activities to meet financial and customer experience goals.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
1–5 years of supervisory experience.
Hold and maintain a State Opticians License.

Responsibilities

Promote store profitability and sales-goal achievement by holding self and the team accountable for daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
Model and participate in all steps of the patient and customer journey, and supervise and redirect associates in the exam lane and on the sales floor.
Support the General Manager in managing incoming traffic by coordinating and confirming doctor appointments and scheduled eyewear services, and ensuring patient and customer needs are met.
Coach, motivate, and support associates in their roles to deliver a strong patient and customer experience.
Use sound judgment to remove obstacles and resolve patient and customer experience issues in partnership with the General Manager.
Execute broad operational activities to meet the store’s financial and customer experience goals.
Supervise the store in the General Manager’s absence.
