About the position
Terray Therapeutics is seeking a Library Production Development Scientist to further develop and ensure quality control in the Library production workflow. The candidate will collaborate with the Production team to monitor performance indicators, facilitate process transfer, and lead investigations for corrective and preventive actions. They will also be responsible for implementing standard workflows, optimizing platform throughput, and supporting production teams through troubleshooting and process development. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to identify bottlenecks and implementing improvements to the production platform.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Platform Chemistry and Automation R&D functions to ensure rigorous quality control checks across the Libraries lifecycle
- Collaborate with internal partners to identify areas for improvement and develop and implement them in conjunction with the broader production group
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards within Library production
- Lead quality control implementation and documentation of standard workflows and operating procedures across the Library team
- Develop workflows to monitor and track system utilization and performance and optimize platform throughput
- Responsible for technical transfer activities, including cross-functional collaboration with appropriate teams for proper process development and hand-off
- Author and review guideline documents, standard operating procedures, technical protocols, and product impact assessments
- Initiate and manage troubleshooting investigations and implement corrective actions to address root causes with Production management
- Plan, design, execute, and document laboratory studies related to formulation, quality control, and process development
- Provide support to production teams through process capability analysis, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and product impact assessments for non-conformance investigations and process changes/improvements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define production bottlenecks, design and oversee improvements to the production platform, and implement and oversee execution of workflow changes and rollout
- Monitor production process key performance indicators to identify issues and facilitate resolution
- Partner with other operations and R&D functions to ensure the library production team has necessary resources and support.
Requirements
- Experience in process and quality control in a production setting
- Knowledge of quality and safety standards within library production
- Ability to develop and implement improvements in production workflows
- Familiarity with technical transfer activities and cross-functional collaboration
- Proficiency in authoring and reviewing guideline documents, standard operating procedures, and technical protocols
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in laboratory studies related to formulation, quality control, and process development
- Ability to analyze process capability, conduct root cause analysis, and assess product impact
- Knowledge of production bottlenecks and ability to design and oversee improvements to the production platform
- Proficiency in monitoring key performance indicators and resolving issues in the production process
- Collaboration skills to work with stakeholders and other operations and R&D functions
