About The Position

This position combines three roles: Library Media Assistant (4 hours), Administrative Support (1 hour), and Educational Assistant (1.25 hours). The Library Media Assistant will manage daily operations of the school library, facilitating student and staff access to resources with support from the District Media Specialist. The Administrative Support role involves providing support to staff, students, and the community, including maintaining and processing school records. The Educational Assistant will provide educational support to students under the direction of licensed staff and supervise students in various settings, monitoring for safety concerns.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
  • Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications
  • Experience working with children
  • Knowledge of library practices, terminology and procedures
  • "Highly Qualified" status Required (two years of post-secondary education or an associates (or higher) degree; or District approved academic assessment)

  • Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred (bilingual is defined as fluency in reading, writing and speaking two languages as determined by District screening tool)
