About The Position

The Lessons Lead at Guitar Center is responsible for creating a positive experience for customers and students by selling lesson and rehearsal packages, answering questions, and providing tours of the Lessons facility. The role focuses on growing student enrollment and curriculum sales, selling rehearsal space, coordinating lesson schedules, supporting instructors, and ensuring facility systems and schedules are maintained. Successful candidates demonstrate strong customer service, communication, organization, and performance-management skills, including the ability to mentor others and manage a geographically dispersed team.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in musical instruction, administration, or retail non-instruction.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong customer focus and ability to provide a positive customer experience and address customer service issues.
• Clear, concise, positive, and courteous written and verbal communication with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Organizational skills, including multitasking, attention to detail, and completing tasks thoroughly and promptly in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lead, manage, and mentor others; provide constructive feedback; and manage a geographically dispersed team.

Responsibilities

• Increase student enrollment in the lesson program by driving and maintaining sales and promotional programs.
• Sell rehearsal space.
• Communicate with parents and students to ensure a positive overall experience.
• Guide instructors, manage teaching and non-teaching schedules, and coordinate lesson schedules with instructor availability.
• Maintain and increase curriculum sales.
• Ensure systems are functioning properly.
• Maintain the facility’s lesson and rehearsal schedules.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
