The Koch Internship Program (KIP) is a paid experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships. It offers professional development, leadership training, and meaningful work experience at nonprofit organizations addressing policy challenges. The Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) legislative internship gives interns an opportunity to learn about the legislative process and how Washington works through work with Capitol Hill, the White House, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. Interns may work independently or closely with staff, participate in staff meetings and events, and may occasionally perform clerical duties. Much of the work is substantive. CAGW offers internships year-round with flexible hours and varying durations. For the KIP program, participants receive a stipend of $7,500 for full-time participation (approximately 32 hours per week at the partner organization) or $5,500 for part-time participation (approximately 24 hours per week). Attending all online and on-site KIP programming is required.
