About The Position

Texas Capital’s legal department is a close-knit team working in a fast-paced professional environment. The team is transforming how it manages client business entity documentation and authority, particularly for complex client structures and ongoing authority management in commercial real estate, energy fund sponsors, private wealth, and treasury services. The relationship-level operating model aims to improve client experience and expertise, support onboarding and ongoing relationships, and eliminate redundant processes while preserving legal requirements. The Legal Specialist will review governing documents to confirm control and authority, maintain accurate systems of record, flag risks and exceptions, and coordinate with legal, compliance, operations, treasury, and credit teams. The role requires understanding complex business structures and governing documents, including nested and multi-level entities, real estate and infrastructure investment structures, investment funds and sponsors, family office and wealth management structures, and private equity structures. The position calls for practical problem-solving, resourcefulness, dependability, and strong communication and collaboration skills.
