About The Position

Protiviti’s Legal, Risk and Compliance internship gives students the opportunity to work with clients, typically leading global companies, on complex business challenges. Interns collaborate with teams to develop client-focused solutions and gain experience across industries while building technical, professional, and leadership capabilities. The internship includes Liftoff with Protiviti onboarding, The Intern Challenge experiential learning course, hands-on training, support from Talent Managers and advisors, and opportunities to participate in committees, employee network groups, and social, civic, and networking activities. Interns also preview Foundations, Protiviti’s entry-level full-time career opportunity.

Legal, Risk and Compliance interns build knowledge of core business processes in financial services, technology, and healthcare. They work with internal control and risk frameworks, as well as regulatory and compliance methodologies. Depending on assignments, interns may contribute to areas including financial crime and anti-money laundering, risk management, credit services, regulatory compliance and consumer protection, analytics, and legal consulting. The internship is hybrid, combining in-person and remote work. Work may take place at Protiviti offices and client sites, with local or out-of-state travel depending on project and client needs. Interns must be available to work in the designated location during business hours for the full internship duration.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or Juris Doctor degree in a relevant discipline, such as Accounting, Applied Math, Criminal Justice, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, Law and Policy, Legal Studies, Management, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Pre-Law, Political Science, or Statistics.
• Must be within one year of final graduation at the time of the internship.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for Protiviti without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Experience solving problems using AI-powered productivity and collaboration tools, such as Microsoft Copilot or generative AI.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to apply critical thinking and innovation to client engagements across industries.
• Technical proficiency aligned with the assigned capability area.
• Must be at least 18 years old at the time of the internship.
• Available to complete work in the designated location during business hours for the entire internship duration.
