About The Position

Join Axos Bank’s immersive 12-week Summer Internship Program to gain hands-on experience, contribute to enterprise initiatives, and develop professional skills in a fast-paced, technology-driven financial environment. In addition to day-to-day duties, interns take part in a capstone project, sessions with business leaders, financial literacy training, Corporate Finance Institute trainings, and a volunteer day. Interns choose one of two sessions: May 25–August 13 or June 14–September 3. The Compliance Internship offers hands-on exposure to regulatory oversight in banking. Interns join either the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) or Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) team and gain exposure to compliance processes, regulatory frameworks, and risk management practices while contributing to projects supporting the bank’s compliance program. The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team is transitioning toward a more agentic-driven approach. Interns with relevant skills and familiarity with AI tools will support ERM functions in setting up modules on the GRC agentic platform. They will work with ERM team members on tasks that help build modules and agentic programs for various ERM functions.

Responsibilities

Assist with compliance-related projects and tasks in the assigned AML or Risk & Compliance track.
Support data analysis, documentation, and reporting activities.
Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
Participate in meetings and contribute to process-improvement initiatives.
Perform administrative and operational tasks to support compliance programs.
Work with ERM team members on tasks to build modules and agentic programs for ERM functions.
