About The Position

Join Axos Bank’s immersive 12-week Summer Internship Program to gain hands-on experience, contribute to enterprise initiatives, and develop professional skills in a fast-paced, technology-driven financial environment. In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, interns participate in a capstone project, sessions with business leaders, financial literacy training courses, Corporate Finance Institute trainings, and a volunteer day. Interns choose one of two sessions: May 25–August 13 or June 14–September 3. The Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) internship provides hands-on experience across functions that help the Company manage risk and operate responsibly. Interns support projects spanning enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance, with exposure to governance practices, risk assessment, regulatory frameworks, and the use of technology and data to strengthen oversight. The role offers a broad, integrated view of how GRC functions work together to protect the Company and support its strategic goals.

Responsibilities

Support GRC projects and initiatives across enterprise risk management and compliance.
Assist with risk and control assessments, issue tracking, and monitoring activities.
Conduct data analysis and contribute to documentation, dashboards, and management reporting.
Research regulatory requirements and industry practices, and help translate them into clear summaries.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support governance processes and adherence to regulatory standards.
Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives that enhance GRC efficiency and effectiveness.
Participate in team meetings and present project findings to GRC leadership.
