About The Position

DK Law is hiring a Legal Negotiator, also described as a Legal Demand Negotiator & Demand Writer, to lead a team and handle pre-litigation personal injury cases. The role combines legal strategy, persuasive demand writing, and negotiation to pursue financial recoveries for clients. This is a full-time, in-office position at the firm’s Costa Mesa headquarters.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in personal injury law, preferably in demand writing, demand negotiation, or case management.
Experience negotiating high-value cases of $250,000 or more.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe.

Responsibilities

Conduct settlement negotiations with insurance companies and defense firms to resolve personal injury claims and maximize client recoveries.
Review and analyze demands, case issues, damages, and liability.
Develop negotiation strategies that account for policy limits, coverage issues, and defense firm positions.
Communicate with insurance adjusters, defense counsel, and other stakeholders to negotiate settlements and resolve concerns.
Maintain detailed records of negotiations, including correspondence, phone calls, and meetings.
Monitor and update case status to support timely claims resolution and consistent client communication.
Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, case managers, and support staff throughout the negotiation process.
Keep records of written and verbal communication with clients.
Collaborate with the team to ensure cases are handled appropriately and dates are accurately entered on the calendar.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
