About The Position

iCapital is looking to hire a Legal Intern to join the Legal team to support a wide range of corporate and commercial matters. The ideal candidate will be able to work closely with the Legal and Compliance teams and cross-functional business teams, assisting with contract review, legal research, document organization, and day-to-day legal operations. This role offers hands-on experience with real business issues while building foundational in-house legal skills.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an accredited law school, completed first year (1L) at the start of the internship
Must be available to work the duration of the program from June 15th through August 14th
Must submit transcript with application
Authorized to work in the United States
Strong interest in corporate law, commercial contracts, or in-house legal practice
Strong preference for students who have work experience prior to attending law school
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Willingness to learn new topics and work in an evolving business environment
Organized and detailed oriented with big picture capability
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Co-Pilot)

Nice To Haves

GPA of 3.5 or higher is preferred
Familiar with technology companies is a plus

Responsibilities

Draft and review various contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and other legal documentation.
Conduct legal research on corporate, commercial, and regulatory topics and prepare concise research memoranda.
Support the development and maintenance of standard form agreements and internal legal resources.
Assist with legal aspects of internal projects involving corporate governance, vendor relationships, and strategic initiatives.
Perform ad hoc research projects.
