About The Position

Ivo is seeking a Legal Engineer with a legal background to support company growth by engaging with law firms and in-house legal teams. The role involves acting as a trusted advisor, demonstrating how Ivo’s AI products can improve legal teams’ effectiveness, and guiding customers through successful implementation and adoption. Responsibilities may evolve as the company grows, with opportunities to specialize. The role is at a fast-growing startup and carries substantial responsibility.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of legal experience at a law firm or in an in-house legal team.
• Outstanding presentation skills with legal and executive audiences, both impromptu and using presentations or product demonstrations.
• A resourceful, self-directed approach and willingness to take ownership of problems without delegating.
• Strong sense of urgency and bias toward action.

Nice To Haves

• Sales or customer-facing experience, including legal business development or secondment.
• Experience directly managing law firm client matters and client relationships.
• Experience working in a startup environment; preferred but not required.
• Excitement about building a company.

Responsibilities

• Champion Ivo’s product during sales calls, customer onboarding, demonstrations, webinars, events, and conferences.
• Lead product demonstrations tailored to in-house legal teams, identify potential use cases, and show relevant product features and benefits.
• Advise customers on integrating Ivo into their workflows and adopting best practices for scaling AI in their day-to-day work.
• Implement or oversee implementation of customer “Playbooks” derived from precedents, templates, and historical agreements.
• Work with engineers to improve model outputs and with designers to improve user experience and interface.
• Represent the customer perspective, applying legal knowledge to help the sales team develop and implement effective strategies and to communicate customer feedback to the product team.
