About The Position
The John Glenn College of Public Affairs seeks to hire a semester lecturer to teach Skills – Public Management and Communication in a Hybrid World (PUBAFRS 7650) in Summer 2026. Courses may be scheduled during mornings, afternoons, or evenings. Candidates must reside within the state of Ohio.
Requirements
- A PhD in Public Affairs or related field or will have completed one by the start date
- Previous teaching experience at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs
- Candidates must be able to perform these duties in a flexible work environment.
- Candidates must reside within the state of Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Planning and organizing instruction in ways that maximize student learning.
- Meeting scheduled classes and office hours in accordance with university policy.
- Ensuring curriculum implementation and course preparation in accordance with school standards.
- Preparing homework and exams, evaluating, and returning student work in a timely manner to promote learning.
- Maintaining accurate records of students’ progress and submitting final grade roster in accordance with established university deadlines.
- Maintaining confidentiality of student information in accordance with FERPA.
