The Elementary Education program in the Clemmer College of Education and Human Development at East Tennessee State University is seeking a full-time Lecturer position. This role is scheduled to begin in August 2026 and involves teaching in-person, online, and/or hybrid courses on both the Johnson City campus and the ETSU-Sevierville campus within the undergraduate elementary education program. This is a renewable term appointment, primarily focused on teaching and service, contingent upon funding, and offers eligibility for promotion according to department guidelines. Teaching responsibilities may encompass seminar courses, content/methodology courses, planning and assessment courses, classroom management courses, or other courses as assigned by the department chair. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate is expected to contribute through service to the department, college, university, and the profession. The typical annual workload is structured as 80% teaching and 20% service. The applicant may also be involved in supervising teacher candidates in the field.
