About The Position

West Virginia University School of Nursing located at Morgantown, WV invites applications for a Non-Tenure Track Lecturer position. This is a part-time, 0.33 FTE, 9 (nine) month, non-benefits eligible position to teach in the BSN program Alterations in Mental Health clinicals. This position will report to the chairperson of the Family and Community Health Department.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in nursing (MSN); or have a bachelor’s degree with a major in nursing and be enrolled in a graduate degree program with a major in nursing within one (1) year of employment as a faculty member; or have a bachelor’s degree with a major in nursing and at least ten (10) years of professional nursing practice experience.
  • Evidence of experience in mental health nursing practice sufficient to demonstrate professional competence.
  • Unencumbered WV RN License by position start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Applicants with two (2) years of teaching experience in nursing are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching in Alterations in Mental Health clinical in the BSN program.
  • Clinical teaching in the clinicals BSN program. In addition to clinical teaching, other formats of teaching, including traditional classroom instruction, skills lab, small group, and simulation teaching may be included.
