About The Position

The School of Nursing at the University of British Columbia – Vancouver campus invites applications for full-time non-tenure track faculty positions at the rank of Lecturer. The appointment is a one-year leave replacement, with no possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be involved in teaching, course planning, course leading, clinical instruction, lecturing and laboratory teaching, and supervision of students in the Master of Nursing-Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) program. The anticipated start date is September 1, 2026. The School of Nursing at UBC is the oldest university-based nursing program in Canada. We have an international reputation for excellence in research and scholarship, and we value health equity, social justice, and community engagement. We offer a full range of innovative programs, including an intensive upper-division BSN, MN-NP, MSN, MHLP, and PhD degrees. UBC’s Vancouver campus is situated at the tip of Point Grey on the unceded lands of the Musqueam people, surrounded by forest, ocean and mountains. The School also has a location in Surrey, across from the Surrey Memorial Hospital, for the NP program, where some NP theory and skills lab courses are taught. Requirements

  • Currently credentialed and an active Nurse Practitioner
  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing
  • NP registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Experience teaching nurse practitioner students in an academic setting or direct clinical supervision in primary care practice
