About The Position

The Anthropology Department in the College of Behavioral and Social Science is collecting application materials for a pool of lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2026-27 academic year. We seek to fill Anthropology courses level 100 through 400 and internships in our four subfields: Archaeology, Biological, Cultural and Museum Studies. Appointments from the lecturer pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.

Requirements

  • The minimum education requirement for a lecturer appointment is Master of Arts or Science in Anthropology or a related field.
  • Appropriate expertise and experience teaching for assigned courses.
  • Prior experience in teaching and working with colleagues from diverse ages, socioeconomic, cultural and academic backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. in Anthropology or degree in closely related field to courses interested in teaching.

Responsibilities
