About The Position

The Department of Sociology at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona invites applications for its Lecturer pool for part-time teaching appointments. Requirements

MA in Sociology, Criminology or related discipline in the field relevant to the curriculum or related discipline.
MA if applying to teach Social Work courses.

Nice To Haves

A Ph.D. in Sociology, Criminology, or related discipline to teach sociology and criminology.
MSW, LCSW, DSW, PhD in Social Work to teach social work courses.
Prior teaching experience at the college or university level and ability to furnish evidence of strong teaching.

Responsibilities

Teach assigned division courses in the department’s curriculum and serve weekly office hours based on assigned teaching unit load.
Assignments may include day, evening, and/or weekend courses.
