About The Position

The Department of Sociology at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona invites applications for its Lecturer pool for part-time teaching appointments. Requirements

  • MA in Sociology, Criminology or related discipline in the field relevant to the curriculum or related discipline.
  • MA if applying to teach Social Work courses.

Nice To Haves

  • A Ph.D. in Sociology, Criminology, or related discipline to teach sociology and criminology.
  • MSW, LCSW, DSW, PhD in Social Work to teach social work courses.
  • Prior teaching experience at the college or university level and ability to furnish evidence of strong teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned division courses in the department’s curriculum and serve weekly office hours based on assigned teaching unit load.
  • Assignments may include day, evening, and/or weekend courses.
