The Department of Economics at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona is inviting applications for Part-Time Lecturer positions. Cal Poly Pomona is one of three polytechnic universities in the 22-campus California State University system, known for its integrative experiential learning education, learn-by-doing approach, and Teacher Scholar Model. The university has nearly 30,000 students and over 1,400 faculty, offering various degree programs. The College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences (CLASS) focuses on intellectual development, ethical reasoning, and aesthetic sensibility, fostering creative and critical thinking. The Department of Economics offers STEM-designated BS and MS degrees in Economics, providing a strong foundation in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Econometrics, along with quantitative skills. It also supports exchange programs, study abroad, and internships. The temporary faculty pool is continuously open, with positions filled based on student enrollment and funding. Candidates should be available to teach on short notice for Fall (late August to mid-December) and Spring (mid-January to mid-May) terms. The department seeks experienced and student-centered individuals to teach Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, and other quantitative and/or applied field courses.
