About The Position
The History Department seeks an instructor to teach 1 upper-division elective in Early Modern European History.
Requirements
- PhD in History
- Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the college or university level
- Appropriate training in European and/or Early Modern History Subfield
- Commitment to student-centered, inclusive pedagogy that supports diverse learners
- Applicants should demonstrate the ability to effectively engage with a broad student population and provide mentorship that supports student academic success.
Nice To Haves
- Evidence of ability to teach in any possible teaching modality (face-to-face, online asynchronous, or hybrid asynchronous/in-person) to fulfill specific department needs as they arise.
Responsibilities
- To teach assigned classes and carry out related duties, such as holding office hours, grading, planning lessons, and communicating with students outside of scheduled class time.
