About The Position

Responsible for examining and processing all leave of absence requests from beginning to end; to make determinations based on multiple state and federal regulations; and to ensure that on-going claim management is within company service standards and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of disability management and/or FMLA administration experience required
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • SAP preferred

Responsibilities

  • Establish FMLA claims, track, and code documentation in accordance with internal workflow processes
  • Analyze FMLA claims to determine eligibility and certification in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Provide timely and required communication to employees at the leave’s commencement and throughout the duration of the leave including leave designation notices, medical certifications, letters, forms, required policies, etc.
  • Conduct necessary follow-up with management and employees with respect to available leave, leave status and updates, work restrictions and required forms
  • Maintain updated knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, both adopted and pending affecting employee leave process, including FMLA, ADAAA and DOL requirements
  • Scan all documents that are received into imaging system
  • Review and prepare leave reports
  • Provide Service 2.OD to internal and external customers
