About The Position

Bernstein Companies is hiring a Leasing Consultant for The Textile Apartments in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. The role represents the community and focuses on delivering excellent service to prospective residents and current residents, applying marketing strategies, and converting tours into signed leases. The position also offers the opportunity to lease Textile Lofts, an adjacent 102-unit Class-A property that is being redeveloped and is expected to open in early 2026.

The Textile Apartments is a modern, recently renovated 282-unit Class-A property with contemporary interiors and amenities. The Leasing Consultant supports the full leasing process, resident retention and satisfaction, marketing activities, and the appearance of leasing and community spaces.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in leasing, sales, marketing, or customer service; property management experience is a plus.
• Ability to close sales and meet or exceed leasing goals.
• Strong marketing background, including digital and social media marketing experience.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Professional appearance and adherence to the company dress code.

Nice To Haves

• College degree preferred.
• Lease-up experience or other strong sales experience.
• Experience with Yardi, RealPage, or similar property management platforms.
• Knowledge of fair housing laws and leasing regulations.
• Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective residents, build rapport, and provide engaging, informative tours.
• Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries and issues by email, phone, or text.
• Build ongoing relationships with residents to support retention and satisfaction.
• Guide applicants through applications, screening, lease signing, and move-in.
• Ensure leasing paperwork is accurate and compliant with company policies and fair housing laws.
• Participate in resident events and retention programs.
• Convert tours into leases by understanding prospect needs, presenting community features, and addressing objections.
• Execute and support marketing initiatives, including digital campaigns, social media outreach, and community events.
• Stay current on market trends, pricing, and availability to improve leasing effectiveness.
• Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the leasing office, model units, and common areas.
