About The Position
Bella Vista is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Leasing Consultant to create an exceptional experience for prospective and current residents while supporting the overall success of the property. The role is the welcoming face of the community and involves assisting prospective residents from initial inquiry through move-in, supporting current residents, and helping maintain the community and its occupancy goals. The position requires on-site work as scheduled. Property assignments, work location, schedule, and hours are not permanent and may be modified or reassigned based on business needs, operational requirements, or owner/client requests.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport, overcome objections, and effectively close leases.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Basic math and financial comprehension skills.
- Valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in leasing or a related field preferred.
- College degree preferred.
- Experience with Yardi, ResMan, On-Site, or other property management software preferred.
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Greet and engage prospective residents, current residents, and guests in person, by phone, and through electronic communication.
- Conduct community tours and showcase apartment homes and amenities.
- Assist prospective residents throughout the leasing process, from initial inquiry through move-in.
- Process rental applications, lease renewals, and related documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Respond to resident questions, concerns, and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Support resident retention through outstanding customer service and community engagement.
- Maintain organized and accurate resident files, records, and leasing documentation.
- Inspect community appearance and coordinate with maintenance staff to maintain high standards.
- Assist with marketing initiatives and outreach efforts to support occupancy goals.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, company policies, and applicable laws.
- Promote a positive, welcoming, and inclusive community environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
