About The Position

Banyan Living is seeking an experienced Leasing Agent to bring residential leasing expertise to its team and help drive occupancy and resident satisfaction. The role involves marketing properties, negotiating lease terms, and providing exceptional customer service to prospective and current residents. The ideal candidate has a proven residential leasing track record, understands leasing procedures and legal compliance, builds strong client relationships, and is committed to outstanding service.

Requirements

At least 1 year of leasing experience in residential property management or a related field.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of leasing processes, property management systems, and Fair Housing regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software.
Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience mentoring or leading junior team members.

Responsibilities

Lead property tours and presentations with professionalism and detailed knowledge of each community.
Process applications, conduct credit and background checks, and qualify prospective residents in compliance with Fair Housing laws.
Build and maintain relationships with prospects and residents to support community retention and referrals.
Collaborate with management on marketing strategies to improve leasing performance and occupancy rates.
Prepare accurate lease agreements and ensure documentation complies with company policies and legal requirements.
Mentor and train junior leasing staff as needed.
