About The Position

Banyan Living is seeking an experienced Leasing Agent for Dover Farms Apartments. The role focuses on residential leasing, marketing properties, negotiating lease terms, and providing excellent service to prospective and current residents. The agent helps drive occupancy and resident satisfaction while ensuring leasing activity and documentation comply with company policies, legal requirements, and Fair Housing regulations. The ideal candidate has residential leasing experience and comprehensive knowledge of leasing procedures and legal compliance. They communicate and negotiate effectively, build strong relationships with prospects and residents, and are committed to outstanding service. Mentoring or leading junior team members is a plus.

Requirements

At least 1 year of leasing experience in residential property management or a related field.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of leasing processes, property management systems, and Fair Housing regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software.
Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Prior experience mentoring or leading junior team members.

Responsibilities

Lead property tours and presentations, demonstrating detailed knowledge of the community.
Process applications, conduct credit and background checks, and qualify prospective residents in compliance with Fair Housing laws.
Build and maintain relationships with prospective and current residents to support retention and referrals.
Collaborate with management on marketing strategies to improve leasing performance and occupancy.
Prepare accurate lease agreements and ensure documentation complies with company policies and legal requirements.
Mentor and train junior leasing staff as needed.
