The Learning Support Specialist I, under general supervision, attends and assists assigned classes and courses and provide strategic academic support for students. This position also teaches non-credit courses and skill improvement workshops, maintains and tracks student progress in non-credit classes, instructs students who are at-risk, referred for Early Alert, and on probation, organizes and instructs in the Bridge programs, and conducts workshops to support learning skills and studying strategies. The role involves collecting data and analyzing the effectiveness of instructions.
