About The Position

The Learning Center Instructor teaches snow sports skills to children or adults, beginning at a basic level. The position requires good people skills, excellent communication, and the ability to lead individuals and small groups. No teaching experience is required. Instructors must be at least 18 years old, unless they have prior experience working at the Ski School Learning Center, in which case they may apply at 17.

This is a seasonal role with variable days and hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings. Instructors set their individual schedule at the start of each season; schedule adjustments must be approved by management. The role typically involves 6 to 10 hours per week and pays $13.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old, or 17 with prior experience working at the Ski School Learning Center.
• Ability to ski or ride at a basic and safe level.
• Good people skills, excellent communication, and ability to lead individuals and small groups.

• Follow the guide of Safety, Fun Learning, in that order, in all lessons with guests.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal equipment is functioning safely.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Demonstrate safety first in all aspects of lessons and personal skiing and riding.
• Organize and structure lessons for experience-based outcomes.
• Maintain a personal lesson record and accurate payroll information.
• Follow PSIA/AASI Teaching and Coaching concepts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
