About The Position

This role works full time in the field and will be responsible for working within the Brimbank, Merri-bek, Moonee Valley and Melbourne Council areas. As the Leading Hand Maintenance you will be responsible for providing in-field oversight of your work crew for delivery of project works, asset inspections, data collection and litter removal. Reporting to the Program Lead, this is a pivotal role within the Field Delivery North West team. The role will use mobile devices, iPad, mobile phone and GPS for navigation, data collection and recording and resolving work orders. Due to the vast geographical area covered within the role an operational vehicle will be provided. Your proven people leader skills and strong safety focus will see you succeed within the role.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience and capabilities working with and leading crews in a Civil, Natural Resource Management, Land Management, or maintenance environment.
Ability to take responsibility for own role in ensuring the safety of all team members and other personnel on site
Problem solving skills, including the ability to deliver the appropriate outcomes
Confident in using a variety of technology, digital devices, apps and Excel
Certificate/ Diploma in Civil/Environmental disciplines or relevant related work experience
Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations
Valid Victorian Driver’s license (MR is preferred) with a clean driving record and confidence to drive long distances independently.
Ability to pass a Police Check and Pre-employment medical
