About The Position

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station. Reporting to the Executive Director of Annual Giving, the Leadership Annual Giving Officer will serve as an annual giving frontline fundraiser, with a specific focus on digital fundraising. The Leadership Annual Giving Officer will work closely with the Executive Director and schools and units to develop a strategic roadmap and appropriate annual and long-term fundraising goals. The Leadership Annual Giving Officer will also have direct responsibility for maintaining and managing a personal portfolio with a mandate to identify, cultivate, and solicit annual fund gifts. This position will help serve as staff liaison for the Young Alumni Leadership Council ( YALC ), Alumni Committee on Racial and Ethnic Diversity ( ACRED ) and GiveUNC Volunteers. 50% of fundraising will be focused on the Chancellor’s Global Education Fund. 50% of fundraising will be focused on The Carolina Fund, Scholarships and other important initiatives as they arise.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an annual giving frontline fundraiser, with a specific focus on digital fundraising.
