About The Position

The Parent Annual Giving Officer (PAGO) supports the West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) fundraising efforts for the West Point Parents Fund and other annual giving initiatives. This executive position reports to the Director of Annual Giving and is part of a high-performing, donor-centered team focused on achieving annual giving goals. The PAGO cultivates philanthropic relationships with families of incoming and current cadets, using prospect plans and opportunities to qualify and solicit a high volume of prospects, with the potential to manage a small pool. They utilize various technological tools such as email, social media, EverTrue, texting, video conferencing, and phone for solicitation and stewardship. The PAGO collaborates with appropriate teams to advance prospects within the major and leadership giving pipeline and works with the Alumni & Parent Engagement team to ensure participation in key annual events and to maintain relationships with West Point Parents Clubs.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of fundraising strategies, particularly in the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of mid-level and high-level donors.
  • Relevant and transferable skills in a related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in fund raising.
  • Familiarity with USMA and the Army.

Responsibilities

  • Develop philanthropic relationships with the families of incoming and current cadets.

  • Manage a small pool of prospects.

  • Work with appropriate teams to move prospects up the major and leadership giving pipeline.
  • Work with WPAOG’s Alumni & Parent Engagement team to ensure participation in key annual events.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with West Point Parents Clubs.
