The Leader in Residence supports both the School Site Principal and Administration and Curriculum & Instruction Teams. This role involves supporting a vision of powerful teaching and learning to prepare students for universities and careers, facilitating professional development, running small teacher groups, and providing instructional interventions in core content classes through data monitoring and Tier 2 instruction. The position also supports Tier 1 school culture and teacher development in classroom management. Additionally, the Leader in Residence will develop coaching plans, support the academic vision, provide instructional coaching to literacy and/or math teachers through observations, feedback, modeling, and co-teaching, and communicate high-level feedback to principals on teacher development. The goal is to create sustainable action plans that result in improved student outcomes in literacy and/or math, aiming for 100% student proficiency in literacy. Other duties as assigned.
