Previous editorial or publishing experience is not required. Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in education or related field.
  • Recent PK - 8th grade classroom teaching experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous editorial or publishing experience is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Review teacher-facing and student-facing materials in development for clarity, instructional soundness, grade-level appropriateness, and classroom usability.
  • Provide written and verbal feedback on lesson flow, teacher notes, assessments, and digital components.
  • Support manuscript preparation, revision cycles, and quality review as products move through development and help ensure consistency across print and digital resources.
  • Collaborate with content managers, editors, designers, and digital team members to refine products during development.
  • Provide classroom-based feedback on scaffolds, multilingual supports, pacing, reading levels, age-appropriateness, engagement, and assessment usability.
  • Review content for standards alignment, clarity of directions, and teacher-friendliness.
