About The Position

Cold Start Ventures is seeking a Founder in Residence (FIR) to launch and lead a venture-backed startup. This role offers the opportunity to build and lead a company with $1.5M of committed day-one capital and a proven playbook that has resulted in a significantly higher survival rate to Series B compared to the industry average. Cold Start Ventures incubates companies based on well-developed theses in healthcare and AI, and has a track record of creating substantial portfolio value.

Requirements

• Former founders only – exclusively those who have started companies before.
• Experience in rigorous environments such as consulting, banking, leading growth stage companies, big tech, investing, product management, or sales at leading firms.
• Strong analytical and leadership skills.
• Both commercial CEOs and technical CTOs are considered.
• Bias toward action – hungry, scrappy, and a track record of getting things done.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Cold Start to incubate one of their pre-validated theses.
• Assemble and lead a founding team.
• Own strategy, execution, fundraising, and growth.
• Build a category-defining company with long-term impact.
