About The Position

The Seasonal Part Time Lead helps oversee store associates and daily store activities, supporting customer service, sales, merchandising, stock organization, and store operations. The Lead may act as Manager on Duty, take responsibility for store operations and staff management, and occasionally manage the opening or closing process. This role also supports associate onboarding and training and performs store maintenance.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
At least 1 year of management experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask.
Creative thinking.
Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets business needs, including day, evening, weekend, and potentially overnight shifts; travel may be required.
Ability to identify and understand email and printed instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
Ability to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
Ability to operate a cash register, computer, hand-held devices, phone, walkie, and mobile devices; move merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds and place or remove merchandise at heights of 5–10 feet; climb ladders; kneel, bend, twist, and stoop; and move across the sales floor and to and from the stock room.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information with customers, managers, and coworkers in person and by telephone.

Responsibilities

Ensure crew members provide excellent customer service through personal contact with customers.
Train crew members on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience and help ensure fast, friendly checkout.
Help oversee daily activities of store associates and ensure they perform their duties effectively and provide excellent customer service.
Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for placement on the sales floor.
Act as Manager on Duty when needed, taking responsibility for store operations, staff management, customer service, and urgent issues.
Occasionally manage store opening or closing, including securing cash, locking doors, setting alarms, and preparing for daily operations.
Support onboarding and ongoing associate training in store policies, product knowledge, and operational procedures.
Drive store sales and control expenses by seeking ways to improve merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
Partner with the store leadership team on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
Perform store maintenance, including taking out garbage, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, and maintaining the stock room.
