About The Position
Modern Animal is hiring a Lead Veterinarian to lead a team of veterinarians and support high-quality general practice veterinary care. The role involves modeling excellent medical practice, mentoring associate doctors, empowering the care team, and collaborating with the clinic manager to improve medical quality, member experience, and employee engagement. The Lead Veterinarian also promotes continuous learning, a blame- and judgment-free culture, and initiatives that support the well-being and sustainability of the clinical team. Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a veterinarian.
- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited veterinary school or completion of requirements to practice in the United States.
- Active California veterinary medicine license required at the start of employment.
- License must be in good standing, with no malpractice or disciplinary actions.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience managing and leading teams of veterinarians is preferred.

- Lead a team of veterinarians by modeling excellent medical practice.

- Collaborate with the clinic manager to improve clinic performance in medical quality, member experience, and employee engagement, while fostering continuous learning and development.

- Lead and participate in initiatives that support the clinical team’s well-being and make veterinary work joyful and sustainable.
