About The Position
Modern Animal is building a technology-forward general practice veterinary care organization that supports high-quality medicine while balancing the needs of veterinary practitioners, pet owners, and animals. The Lead Veterinarian leads a team of veterinarians, models excellent medical practice, mentors associate doctors, and works with the clinic manager to support clinic performance and a culture of continuous learning. The role also supports the well-being of the clinical team and helps make veterinary work joyful and sustainable. Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a veterinarian.
- Graduated from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school or completed the requirements to practice in the United States.
- Active California license to practice veterinary medicine required at the start of employment.
- License must be in good standing, with no malpractice or disciplinary actions.

- At least 1 year of experience managing and leading teams of veterinarians.

- Lead a team of veterinarians by modeling excellent medical practice.
- Mentor associate doctors to improve individual performance in client satisfaction, teamwork, medical quality, record keeping, and efficiency.

- Collaborate with the clinic manager to drive clinic performance in medical quality, member experience, and employee engagement, while fostering continuous learning and development.
