About The Position

Trains new staff members in all aspects of transportation, including policies and procedures, under the direct supervision of the Manager. Creates schedules, handles paid time off (PTO) requests, and assists the Manager with productivity, attendance, and escorts.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience acquired through hospital experience.
• Knowledge, skills, and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A valid driver’s license.
• At least 5–7 years of training as acquired through hospital experience.

Nice To Haves

• 7 years of experience acquired through hospital experience.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities and communicate with the Transportation Manager regarding personnel in-service and training.
• Provide input on transportation employees’ performance evaluations regarding training and orientation, and ensure all staff have been properly trained.
• Perform transporter duties as needed to meet department volumes.
• Establish staff work schedules, planning for hospital volumes and staff time-off requests.
• Complete assigned goals.
