About The Position

Montessori Academy on the Ranch in Mission Viejo, California, is hiring a Lead Toddler Teacher. The teacher will develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum, plan engaging activities that promote children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development, and assess and document student progress. The role also involves helping lead learning activities, ensuring children’s safety and well-being, monitoring their development, and fostering a harmonious environment for children and fellow teachers. Montessori certification is preferred, and candidates with a strong Early Childhood Education background are also considered. A willingness to complete Montessori training is required. The position pays $23.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Experience in Early Childhood Education in a certified child development center.
12 Child Development Units, as required by the State of California.
Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and tablet.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with parents and other staff members.
Patience, collaboration, creativity, and passion for Early Childhood Education.
Willingness to complete Montessori training.

Nice To Haves

Montessori certification.
Prior experience with toddler and preschool students.
A strong background in Early Childhood Education.
