About The Position

Chambliss Center for Children’s Red Bank Center is seeking an experienced, caring, and energetic teacher to lead its 3-year-old classroom. The role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom; supporting children’s development through planned activities and routines; and partnering with families, co-teachers, and center leadership. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pay is $12–$17 per hour, based on education and experience; a CDA credential or a degree in early childhood education places candidates higher in the range.

Requirements

At least 2–3 years of classroom experience with preschool-age children (ages 2–5).
At least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED.
Patience, flexibility, and compassion for young children.
Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and sit on the floor often, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.

Nice To Haves

ECE technical certificate.
Associate’s degree in early childhood education or a related field.
Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field.
CDA credential or a degree in early childhood education, which places candidates higher in the pay range.

Responsibilities

Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom for 3-year-olds.
Plan and lead activities that support children’s social, emotional, physical, and early learning development.
Actively supervise children and follow safety and licensing requirements.
Build consistent daily routines and support smooth transitions.
Use positive guidance to support behavior, independence, and social skills.
Keep the classroom clean, organized, and welcoming, including daily cleaning and sanitizing.
Partner with families, co-teachers, and center leadership.
