About The Position
St. Louis Child Development Center in Biddeford, Maine is recognized as a 5-Star Quality Childcare Center and has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Lead Teacher. We’re looking for a nurturing, enthusiastic educator to lead classroom instruction and curriculum planning, foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment, collaborate with fellow educators, and supervise support staff as assigned. With nearly 50 years of experience in holistic, play-based early childhood education, we celebrate every child’s individuality and foster a nurturing, inclusive environment. Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in early childhood education or a related degree, preferred; certificate in Child Development accepted.
- If no degree or certificate, must be willing to obtain.
- Must be willing to maintain CPR and First Aide Certification, as well as attend the Maine Early Learning Guidelines Training
Responsibilities
- Lead classroom instruction and curriculum planning
- Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with fellow educators
- Supervise support staff as assigned
