About The Position

Incarnation Catholic Preschool is seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, and dedicated Lead Teacher for our Two-Year-Old classroom. This individual will create a warm, safe, and engaging learning environment where children can grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively. The Lead Teacher will plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities while fostering a love of learning rooted in Catholic values. At Incarnation Catholic Preschool, we believe that early childhood is a sacred time of discovery, growth, and joy. Our mission is to provide a faith-filled environment where every child is known, loved, and encouraged to flourish.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience teaching young children in a preschool, childcare, or early learning setting.
  • Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices for two-year-old children.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with young children.
  • Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that support the growth and development of two-year-old children.
  • Create a nurturing, safe, and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Foster children's social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual development through intentional teaching and positive interactions.
  • Guide children using positive behavior management techniques and age-appropriate expectations.
  • Maintain daily classroom routines, including arrival, playtime, snack, toileting, outdoor activities, rest time, and dismissal.
  • Observe and assess children's development and communicate progress with parents as needed.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, student records, and required classroom documentation.
  • Ensure classroom compliance with all Department of Human Services regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, administration, and fellow staff members.
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with parents, guardians, and staff.
  • Uphold and model Catholic values in a respectful, inclusive, and child-centered manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
  • Complete required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings and participate in school events as required.
  • Complete all required professional development and continuing education hours.
