Child Care Lead Teacher School age
About The Position
Kids Country, part of Busy Bees North America, is hiring a Lead Teacher to provide a warm, safe, and engaging classroom experience aligned with NAEYC standards and best practices. The Lead Teacher works alongside fellow educators, center leadership, and families, with day-to-day classroom and leadership support to help with classroom management, transitions, and compliance with ratio standards. The role supports children from 6 weeks to 12 years old and contributes to their learning, development, safety, and well-being. The position is full-time in Medina, with a Monday-through-Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and no evenings or weekends. The listed pay range is $16–$20 per hour.
Requirements
- An associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or Career Pathway Level 3.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Must meet all state requirements for child care employment.

- At least 2 years of experience in a licensed child care setting.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
- Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and curriculum.
- Develop engaging classroom activities based on children's interests and learning styles.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment.
- Partner with families to support each child's growth and development.
- Communicate with parents and guardians about milestones and daily progress.
- Collaborate with support staff and leadership to maintain classroom ratios and classroom flow.
- Help create a home-away-from-home environment for children and families.
- Inspire creativity, confidence, and social-emotional growth in young learners.
