About The Position

Kids Country is seeking a part-time Child Care Assistant Teacher for its school-age program in Fairlawn, Ohio. The role works alongside teachers and families to provide a safe, supportive environment for children in accordance with NAEYC guidelines. Paid training on classroom procedures is provided, and prior classroom experience is not required. The scheduled hours are 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM, with no evenings or weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
• Decorate classrooms indoors and outdoors as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment that allows children to grow and explore.
• Interact with children to encourage participation in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
