About The Position

Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids is hiring a full-time Lead Stylist for its locally owned salon, which has locations in Hillsboro, Oregon (Reeds Crossing and Bethany Village). The Lead Stylist will work closely with the manager to help lead the team, train and support newer stylists, and promote excellent customer service. The salon describes itself as a small, close-knit team focused on making children’s visits enjoyable and supporting stylists’ growth.

Compensation is listed as $25–$35+ including tips. The role also offers commissions on retail sales and cash tips paid after each shift. The schedule is flexible, with the salon open until 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and 5:00 p.m. on weekends. Weekend availability is required.

Requirements

• Active Oregon cosmetology or barber license.
• Weekend availability.
• Strong technical skills and ability to mentor.
• Ability to prevent and handle customer complaints with grace.
• Professional appearance.
