About the position
The Browser Synthetics team at ThousandEyes is looking for a Chromium Engineer to work on expanding and improving features and interactions with Chromium, as well as maintaining a high level of security in their architecture. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of software development experience, proficiency in Java, Golang, or C/C++, strong Linux fundamentals, and experience with a container runtime. Experience with network protocols and Typescript/Javascript and browser APIs is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Work directly in the system that runs browser-based interactions inside ThousandEyes agents
- Expand and improve the features and interactions that are supported with Chromium
- Maintain a high level of security in the architecture
- Enable ThousandEyes customers to understand the performance of their web applications
- Test services by scripting user actions and API calls, and running these scripts from ThousandEyes agents distributed globally
- Provide a continuous view of application performance across all layers of delivery
- Empower customers to provide the best possible digital experiences to their customers and employees
Requirements
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Proficiency in Java, Golang, or C/C++
- Strong Linux fundamentals
- Experience with a container runtime (e.g. docker, podman)
- Experience in operating system security, and/or platform security
- Experience with network protocols is a plus
- Experience with Typescript/Javascript and browser APIs is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar
